In addition to curating the plays at last month’s Public Assembly, I also got to back up my old friend and musical collaborator Andrea Silva (aka Loyal Lobos) who was our musical interstitial for the month. I sang backups and played harmonium, kalimba and acoustic guitar. The show was at Pico Union Project and we played up in the pipe organ vestibule above the stage, very fun. Andrea’s voice is angelic, she sounded amazing in the venue (a beautiful old synagogue turned community space), and a cool contrast to her folk/trap mashup. Pics below by Ash Alexander.
