Just finished scoring a REALLY fun, wild animated short called “Rocket Friendz” by Josh Weisbrod. It uses the framework of a Pokemon parody to look at big subjects like aging, friendship, and the commodification of nostalgia. And don’t worry, if that sounds too heavy, it also has lots of poop jokes and a surprising amount of animated penises. Josh is super talented, and we clicked really well on the direction the music should take. It was like a tour of pop culture, so it is truly all over the place, definitely the most eclectic score I’ve done.
