Did some sound design for another terrific Public Assembly show. Our theme for the month was “Scales” and the piece I worked on was Weighing In, written by Matt Kirsch & Lauren Sevigny, directed by Carter Scott, starring Satya Bhabha & Zane Phillips. A UFC weigh-in turns into something unexpected. Fun piece—silly, sexy and sweet. The sound design was an interesting challenge; trying to keep it from overwhelming the piece or getting grating (lots of crowd noise and round signaling airhorns) while still feeling real and energetic.
